Forget the DC-2, I'm impressed with how nice they've kept that black cooktop! If you've ever had one of those, you know how much work it takes to keep it looking like that - unless it's brand new, of course....

Haha, I got one of those hobs. It's only a year old but it's in much worse state than the one in the pictures. My DC-2 is however in similar condition to this one  |

 So true!! A razorblade and some elbow grease works for me. Something caustic doesn't hurt either.. 
But what a nice DC-2.. don't see them this complete often. Probably a new record price too.

My wife does a great job keeping ours looking good, but it definitely takes some care. We have some sort of special polish for it.

I use gas, it's the only way to really cook well. |

I agree, but my wife prefers the electric cooktop. And since she does the cooking, it doesn't really matter what I prefer.  |
