Hi everybody.I have few questions about SD-1. Is it possible to get a mij SD-1 from a mit one by changing some components? If it is, which ones? And of course these parts' finding possibilities? Thanks... |

no, they are pretty much the same components.
component aging plays a huge part in this. i've found MIT's from ~1991 that are fairly close to late 80's MIJ's but with a bit more noise.

No, in theory all component are the same, but in practice MIJ has more quality components than MIT, so, you can close to MIJ Japan using same or better quality components, for example metal film capacitors and metal film resistor....
Regarding Opamp , It is hard to find a original JRC4558DD (almost imposible), so you can use stock IC MIT or try with options like RC4558, M5218, BA728...but no one can close than the original double -d!!! |

I have JRC4558D op-amp.I'm gonna try it. And capacitors, do they really make difference? I'm asking it because i have a '86 mij CE-2, its capacitors are different from '81 mij one. I'm going crazy about that electronic differences |
