What Boss pedal is the one you have owned for the longest time? For me it´s a MIT DS-1, guess I´ve had it for about 15 years. My NS-2 I´ve also had for very long.

I picked up my HM-2 in the autumn of '84. Just started playing in a new band and I really wanted the typical 80s sound that all the bands had at the time. With a small Roland Spirit combo and the HM-2 I didn't really get that sound but I still thought the pedal worked wonders for my sound. |

A used OD-2 that i got in the buy and sell ad's for £40 in '95 after my digitech GSP 21 was stolen...best thing that ever happened to me...... although it didn't feel it at the time.....i often wondered was it would of sounded like just using it for delay/reverb and using a couple of boss overdrives and distortions on the floor..... |

We're all kind of dating ourselves here aren't we?
My oldest is an MT-2 that I bought in 1999. |

GE-7, bought during Summer of 1990.
It started my love for all things EQ and what it can do to your amp.
Do I still use it? Tend to use the GE-6 more these days. |

My CS-3 since '95, pedal is a secondhand from '90 though. Then my CE-2b, probably later that very year, still my most used pedalcombo. |

My old CS-2 (S.N. 406500 - March 1984), bought when I was 19 (1984 itself) to use as buffer in our thrash solos.
Still in very good condition, just a pair o scratch and without the screw's rubber, but nothing else. |

Where can you find the serial number on the pedal and how do you know where it came from? |

On my CS-2 the serial number it's written in a white label sticker glued under the switch where's the battery place.

On the serial number decoder page, kindly furnished by BossArea. In the same page you can find the places where serial numbers were positioned in the pedals during the years. |
