| I finally got a DD-5. It should be in before the end of the week. Then I'll start on my very simple first pedal project, turning a Boss pedal I don't use into a momentary footswitch for tap tempo. I might just buy a $30 DS-1 from Guitar Center for that. Or maybe they went back up to $40. Whatever. I could always just keep checking ebay for the cheapest one possible, which usually means a DS-1 anyway. |

| Can't you use the non-latching Boss footswitch for a tap tempo? |

Just bought a DSD-2 to complete the DSD-series in my collection.
Having owned a DSD-3 for some time now, I have been on the lookout for a nice DSD-2. |

Just watch eBay, DS-1 ofen popu for $25.00 BIN, and sometimes sell for less. It would e easy to make it a UNlatching switch as the switch in the pedal is momentary. ANY dead boss pedal would be easy to convert, and I agree, it would LOOK nice to have a pedal as a tap tempo to match the DD-5! |

I know I could just use a FS-5U for that, but one day I just thought, "what if I could make any Boss pedal chassis into a tap tempo footswitch?" Thus, the idea for the "TT-1" was born.
Yeah, I guess scouting out a cheap DS-1 would be my best bet. It would probably be a good idea to take out the circuit board. It would make it weight less, and easier to work with inside. Then I'd have a DS-1 circuit board left over for whatever.
Also, off subject, I have this Playstation 2 that is completely unusable, but the outside looks just fine. I was thinking one day I could house an effect (or two) inside of it mainly because...how awesome would it be to have a Playstation 2 on stage and you're just tweaking knobs on it and whatever else it's designed to do? Hahahaha. What if there were knobs in the controller too? Oh, man. Either that or I could make the ultimate PS-2 mod, hahahaha.
Back on subject, my next purchase will probably be a distortion or an overdrive (preferably SD-2). |

Oh crap !
I just gased severely...
Recently (those days), I won on ebay an Ibanez SF5 (Soundtank Fuzz), a broken MXR Noise Gate, a George Dennis distortion. Then, a lot of 5 pedals for 200€ (including a DC-3, OC-2, SD-1, and old Ibanez L serie pedals). And just now, I won a PQ-4 for 56€ (plus shipping) and a HR-2 for 90€ (plus shipping).
I'm screwed. I don't know how I'll pay all this !
Guess I'll have to eat more pasta those coming days |

I just hit up a pawnshop I hadn't been to in a while and got an SYB-3 for $40, and a GEB-7 for $35.
I'm pretty psyched, I have an SYB-5, but I never thought I'd find an SYB-3 cheap enough to justify buying.

and if you read this Kulten, yes I prefer the SYB-3 to the SYB-5 as well. |
