Hey Dr Bob, I don't have any Artec pedals, but i have their pedal power supply unit and i can't rave about it enough! Its honestly awesome as. Before i had it i had noise problems running so many pedals, got it and my rig is now basically silent. 8 independantly hum / regulated / filtered channels, 2 with adjustable voltage from 6 - 12V to simulate "dying batteries", and 3 cool blue leds on the side to light up your board (can turn it on or off). All that for less than half the price of a Voodoo Pedal Power! Plastic case, but as long as you're not stomping on it should be sweet! Had no problems with mine whatsoever..

Make yourself one - It's nothing like as complex as making a Boss clone would be with only 13 components in total, and would cost around 1/4 of the price of even the Vexter version.

That looks great - I've never seen one in the UK before: I'll have to keep an eye out... |

Everyone has nice boards!
This is mine and i'm proud of it. (still proud of the pedals i don't use)

BTW, the KORG expression pedal, its empty. just a casing.
"I wish someone would take it from me. Or give ma a WAH WAH for me to put in the casing." Me |

Very nice Ollie! You're lucky you don't have to pay bills like the rest of us around here I'd spent my whole savings in pedals if I could too.
I'm not a lot into loops at the moment, as I have not so many pedals just yet, but I'd like to know why did you set those two loops, any particular reason? I see a very dirty chain (the upper one) and a clean one below... Could that be the main reason? |

Hey!
Yeah the top row is all the pedals I keep in the send/return of my noise supressor.
The CS-3, OD-3, Marshall Shredmaster, MD-2 are in the NS-2's loop. The red patch lead going from the ns-2 to the ge-7 is the standard output, which goes into my MIJ Ce-2 and so on.
From the pic it's probably hard to tell but the last pedal in my chain is the DD-7. Plus - I should add im using a Diago power supply. |

I was actually going to ask what power supply you were using, but I guess you've covered that. Nice set up though... |

My cameras a bit crap so I couldnt get it in. Yeah I picked up the diago power supply second hand with some adaptors so it's worth looking around if you want one.

hey, Im not sure how old it is, is there a way of daing the serial number? I picked it up for £40 at a local guitar shop and I love it. I find my OD>Shredmaster>MD cover all my distorted needs (well, I need a fuzz)
Very good pedal would recommend

Some major changes.
I have been using multi-effects processors for a while (POD, GT8 etc). Although good for copying other styles/sounds (cover versions)etc, I found I could not get my sound.
I've gone back to a traditional pedal board.

I'm still ampless. The board gets plugged direct to a soundcard for recording, or direct to my Roland keyboard-amp or PA for live applications.
Is that a Tech 21 Double Drive in the bottom right corner? If yes, what do you think of that pedal?
Yes it is. Very good pedal. Provides me with all the array of overdrive/distortion sounds I need.
I was in a guitar shop in Edinburgh one time, eyeing up a Keekey Modded TS-808, when I got speaking to the guy behind the counter, and another customer. The customer could not say enough good things about this pedal. I've looked on eBay a few times for one, but they don't seem that common in the UK, and searches often come back with a programable version. Oh, and almost always in the USA. Can I ask how much you paid for the pedal, and where you got it from? I am heading State Side later this year, and may have to pick up one of those bad boys on my adventure.
YAY!!!! I won a Double Drive, and got it today! It's proper good! Added bonus, the seller on eBay turned out to be Christian Datsun, of the band the Datsuns. I love that band, and now I have his Double Drive! Also scored another MIJ DS-1, and got Dirk's OD-1 delivered today. It's been a good week for Beef...... |
