Hi everyone,
I'm looking at modding my DS-1 myself and am too lazy to trace out a schematic. Does anyone here have a schematic that they could send me. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks. |

No problem! Good luck...

I knew that was a post in danger of mis-interpretation. That was one of Nick Burns' famous lines. When he would go to someone's desk to help them with their computer problem, after they described the issue, he would rudely say, "MOVE!!" so that they would give him the chair so he could work on the computer.
I knew that CK would appreciate it.
Grace and peace,
Steve |

I was wondering where this went -- thought that it might have been deleted... anyway, you might want to let the original poster know about the additional link, in case he didn't notice that it had moved. Though I was fairly certain that his DS-1 was MIT, I was not aware that there were circuit revisions, and that other link might be useful yet.
I had originally intended my response to be tongue-in-cheek, but afterward it came across rude to me, which was what got me thinking about who I was (inappropriately) acting like. This might shed some additional light:

Other capacitors of the same value should work well too. Different types of capacitors will have different sound and noise properties but these differences are really small so in most cases you'll be ok with a replacement type. Maybe stay away from ceramic caps though, they're really noisy |
