I'm curious what pedals people are using with their electric acoustics. I have a Martin DCME and generally have settings one of two ways:
For straight ahead folk rock (Arlo Guthire, Grateful Dead songs that are acoustic) I use my BD-2 for a slight clean boost (level at maybe 10 o'clock, gain all the way down, tone neutral) and then the DD-6 with slight delay (maybe 50-100 mS with effect level around 12 o'clock) and my Line 6 Verbzilla with modest reverb ("room" or "chamber" setting, effect level set about 40% effect / 60% original signal).
For more prog rock type songs like Fearless (Pink Floyd) or From the Beginning (ELP) with less of a pure acoustic sound it's pretty much the above but maybe 200 mS on the delay and a 60/40 reverb setting in lieu of the 40/60 used above.
Tone controls on the guitar are generally high bass, even mids and treble, defeated brilliance to avoid those irritating "artifacts".
I don't have a chorus but it seems to me it would make sense here. |

Fishman have just released the first acoustic stomp boxes. http://www.fishman.com/products/afx_pedals.asp However, I currently don't use any effects with my electro acoustic, I don't even run it through an amp, just use the output for recording purposes. |

| Thanks. At $250 a pop I hope they sound nice. Definitely one I'd want to try out before buying. They do look nice. |

I tried the FBM-1 with my Martin OMC15E & I just couldn't get a tone out of it with which I was satisfied. |

The best results i've got so far in with the pod xt pro on a acoustic sim setting ,no amp or cab going into a P.A..... i tried it with my ovation acoustic and my mandolin and got a pretty decent sound compared to the GE-7 which sounded a bit to hard or harsh sounding in a A/B test...i also got good result on the same setting with my fender coranado II semi electric.....a little off topic but does anyone know of a good pickup for a nylon string guitar, nothing too expensive as i wouldn't be using it all the time and it's not a real expensive guitar.... |

| i'm using an ibanez pt-3 with the chorus on (slow and wide), delay short, 1-2 repeats, and this week i've experimented with using the od as a clean boost/preamp into a marshall amp for electric. seems to work well. |
