DD-3

Yeah, but this is usually the sign of something big happening in the near future

Ibanez LS-10 (to bypass directly to tuner)
outa there to a
CS3 (no mod)
Voodoo Lab Overdrive
Prescription Electronics Yardbox
Digitech RP-7 thru effects loop (Delay, pitch, verb)

Whole mess goes into a modded Peavy Classic 50 w/4-10's.
I use the amps overdrive channel for a crunchy rhythm tone, off for clean of course.

My rig (in order guitar to amp):

Sonic Research ST-200 tuner
BD-2
FBM-1
CE-5
FRV-1

all into a Roland JC-55.

I also have a TonePort GX with Gearbox and Amplitude Live, but I'm trying to get away from that because I think it sounds fairly synthetic now that I have a decent amp. The TonePort will be used primarily now to get my sound into Garageband, rather than do amp modelling.

The FBM-1 provides my basic sound (moderate crunch - all dials at 12'oclock), the CE-5 is there in a very sparing role to fatten up the sound, and the FRV-1 provides a touch of reverb to open up my sound, since I mostly play at lower household volumes. The BD-2 is used either on its own, or in conjunction with the FBM-1, depending on the kind of distorted sound I'm looking for, but mainly kick things up a notch for alternative/hard rock.

What do you think? Is this a decent starting lineup? Any suggestions/hints?

Thanks,
Scott

kewl stuff bro, this is what i'm dishin out:

*Boss pedals*
FBM: Always on- clean sound (mainly used for EQ)
BD-2: Light Gain Overdrive
OD-3: Mid Gain Overdrive
SD-1: Boost for lead work
DD-3: short delay time
DD-7: for more complex delay on analog(used with tap tempo)
FRV-1: Ambient reverb for space and mood, always on

Cool, like a more complex/capable version of my setup.

Thanks,
Scott
