Does anyone have trouble turning the concentric knobs? I bought one locally and the pedal sounds awesome. However, the low knobs are still very tight compared to the mid's and high's. Does WD40 work or you would recommend something else to smooth it out?
My second question is I am offered a PQ-3B and wonder if PQ-4 will do the tricks for both guitar and bass. For collection purpose I will buy the PQ-3B for sure. Just want to hear your comments. Thanks!
Here's the stuff I use on all my pedal pot, guitar volume and tone knobs, etc, to relieve stickyness and scratchy pots. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103700 If you don't have Radio Shack in Canada, most electronics stores have some kind of tuner cleaner. Save the WD-40 for your tools and rusty nuts.
Check the knobs are not pushed down onto the pots too far. I've just got a BF-2 which I thought had really sticky pots but I found out the knobs were rubbing against the nut that holds the pot in place. I pulled the knob off the pot slightly and now the knobs turn easily.
