Maybe something super-low wattage.. a champ or princeton, although the FDR is representing 22w.
If they must stick with Fender, a Twin Reverb (FTR-1) might happen - but that seems like a boring pedal.

IF they would team up with Mesa/Boogie, a Dual Rectifier (MDR-1) would be the most logical choice if they want to move units. They'd have to make it better than the Metal Zone and the Metalcore as well.

| you have to see how they make a deal with whatever amp company they have and willing to deal with. Some might not work with them cause they have done fender. And a twin reverb would be a very boring pedal. the deluxe sounds very simular to a reverb |

The DG-1, the start of the Boss Quad Pedal series!
I love his sounds, but he uses so much gear, that it's nearly impossible to bring all his sounds together in one pedal. He uses his effects in a moderate way, no exaggerated effects, just subtle, another layer on top of his licks, that's exactly why I like him. |

Another vote for a Vox AC30 Top Boost pedal... with the vib/trem circuit.
Also... how about a compact pedal sized power amp for driving a cabinet... something like the EHX 22 Calibre:

| A Joe Satriani artist pedal would have been nice, since Joe was a big DS-1 user from the beginning. Unfortunately Vox beat them to it with the Satchurator pedal. To my ears, the Satchurator and a MIJ DS-1 sound so similar, which was probably the point for Joe. |
