| What are the differences between these two, as I'm considering either. |

MT-2 = Awesome MD-2 = Alright-ish
That's my input! |

Hi DS 1, to give better advice as to what to choose, we'd perhaps like to know, what kind of music you play (tuning you use) and what kind of amp you use (solid state/all-tube)... Without knowing that I would attach myself to MD-2. To me MT-2 sounds too dry and grainy whatever you tweak on it. MD-2 has more balls and you can get more usable and versatile sounds with it. So unless you tell us you play thrash metal, I would recommend MD-2. Just my humble opinion, don't shoot me. Cheers. (you should go for DS-1 anyway ) |

I used to use an MD2 its basicly a one trick pony, it has one basic sound but it sounds quite warm like a mesa boogie kinda sound. The Mt2 is supposed to sound darker but is far more tweakable with its EQ.
I'm selling my MD2 on the buying&selling forum |

Well I primarily play rock and blues, but I do have a 7 string. I'm not after a super distorted, muddy sound though. I'm just looking for a little more gain for leads and the occasional rythm, and heard that the MT-2 was a bit harsh. By the way.. I do have a DS-1, and thanks for all the feedback. |

+1 I really just use a slight distortion, set about 3 o clock and a blues driver just for a little grit
