Intermittant problems are most often caused by a cold soldering point or a broken wire. A faulty component is still possible but less likely. When it doesn't work, does the LED still light up? If it doesn't, it reduces the wires and soldering points you need to look at.
Take off the bottom plate and connect the pedal. Push each wire slightly and see if it suddently starts or stops working. This way you can often figure out the faulty wire without having to measure anything. Study the soldering points closely to see if you can find some that are cracked. This can be difficult and it isn't always visible at all. |
