I am new to multi effects and i recently got a second hand ME 8 from my friend. Some body please help with the patches!!!!!!!!

You might want to explain what your problem is with the patches

well my problem is that, as i already mentioned, i'm new to guitar and esp with these multi effects. and the patches already there in my me 8 doesnt sound really good with my marshall mg 101fx amp. and i got no clue as to how to do my own patches. ive tried but they sound even worse. :/

Hi Randy, welcome to the forum from The City of Brotherly Love! Sorry to hear your having trouble with your ME-8. I don't have one but most multi fx have a factory reset, (sometimes on the bottom). But it prob. has factory and user presets or patches. Try tweaking the factory ones first. Make only one change at a time and play and adjust to your liking. Only you know what sounds good to you! It may be a little trying to your nerves but with time you'll know what parameter to adjust to get your tone! Hope that helps!!!

You don't mention what type of patches you are looking for,
or the style of music & guitar you play.

I just did a simple search on Google with

I gather you have the manual for the ME-8?

Try these for Metal, I used them for a set of gigs abroad through the clean channel of a Marshall and it made me and the crowd happy. I just adjust the Bas Mid and Trable on the amp to suit. I also use the MD whatever head in practise and they sound Metal another for me.

Thanx Bob. I am actually looking for metal patches. N im using an ibanez grx. But those sites u posted really dont have any patches posted, i got just one. Thanx for the trouble anyway.

Dude if I get time I'll put them all on a spreadsheet as they are scribbled in the back of the manual sitting in my tour case.
