Ok.. So I found the schematic for the NS-2 and looked wonderfully at all the coolness. I thought to myself "could this circuit be modified into a vocoder?" I don't currently have an NS-2 but I'm looking forward to getting one (or two) but was wondering what everyone else thought about this circuit. Take a look at the schematic and tell me if you think this can be converted into a vocoder or if I'm just drunk and don't know WTH I'm talking about...
Arg... I think I have it all wrong... Now I don't think it can be done. I always thought having a vocoder would be cool and wanted to build one. I just don't really know how they work... I can't sing and so I wanted to use a vocoder combined with a mic and my guitar and create some crazy music. I like the talk boxes, but I don't like the idea of drooling all over the place while playing to a live audience.
Maybe one could use a number of those VCA chips in the NS-2 combined with filters to create a vocoder, but I don't really know... I was just thinking out loud
