Hi noojwut

First of all, I have moved your post to the Technical thread.

Welcome to the forum from Australia.

You never mentioned, what the problem you're having with your GE-6?
We might be able to help you fix it.
You might have to upload a few pics, for us to help you out later.

The GE-6 will be similar to the GE-7 schematic, with a few component changes for the slightly different bands.

Try some of the web sites in this forum link.

Hi
DR.Bob,

Sorry that I list in the wrong topic,I've just applied. Thank you for warm welcome from you. I compare the schematic of GE-7 to GE-6.it's totally different The problem of GE-6 are when I put the battery ,it's hot. I think there might be something making it short circuit. So I want the schematic to fix it. I will be very glad if any could give me the schematic. Thanks

Hi noojwut and welcome!

Sounds like the protection diode has gone short... Don't know the component number without a schematic, but if you check board near where the power leads attach, you will find a diode between +9VDC and Ground. Check that with a multimeter and it will probably be shorted.

Hi noojwut & Laurie

Not a problem with posting in the wrong thread.
it's easy to move & fix that, besides you are a new member, it's hard to know everything about a new place.

As far as I know, I/we don't have a GE-6 Sch.

If you rate some pics of the component & solder sides of your GE-6 board.
We will (most Likely) be able to tell you which part to change to fix it.
It would be nice to have the internal pics of your pedal for our "pedal Internals" thread.

I gather somehow someone put reverse voltage onto your GE-6
That will fry the protection diode every time.

You are probably lucky, that the prot. diode went short circuit, as that protects the rest of the circuit & Op-Amps.
It is probably an 11V 1Watt zener diode, like in most other Boss pedals.

Send pics so we can help you.

Regards Dr. Bob

Thank you everyone who help me. Now GE-6 works! D-1 (zener diode 11 volt short) I changed it already, it comes in good condition.

Hi noojwut

That's really good news, saves you some $$$ & a trip to the service shop.

Any chance you might have taken or will take some internal PCB pictures for the forum?

Regards Dr. Bob

Please send me just a hello email via the forum.
I'll reply with my real link, that you can send the pics to.

I will them see whey they aren't uploading correctly.
They might need to be resized - (smaller).
