| There was that one time a couple of months ago where I said I wouldn't buy anymore for a while. (Also, my mom was getting pretty angry at my money being spent "carelessly," among other garbage. Haha.) After that, I only bought an SD-2 and an OC-2, and I've been pretty good since then. I've gotten into circuit bending, so I've bought a couple of cheap Arion pedals to mess with. I expect to continue adding to my collection in 2007. |

Hey Alien DNA, was the AC-2 from RACS? Did you get it boxed?
I won the PW-2 from RACS which was meant to be brand new and when it arrived it didn't have a box or manual
I hate it when people and retailers in particular give misleading descriptions in their ebay ads

Gday ronster!!! That wouldve tipped me over the edge with pure rage. Nothings worse than when your pedal arrives without the box...let alone the manual...when its supposed to be brand new. So how the hell is this a new pedal????? Did you leave them negative feedback?? I know i wouldve purely coz of being mislead. Nah i didnt win the one from racs,i had to go to work and didnt want to bust my wifes chops getting her to bid on it while she had her own stuff to do at work. Im patient enough to let a couple of pedals slip through my fingers if the timing isnt right....or ive bought tooooo many pedals in recent weeks Is it a cool pedal the pw-2? Never had the chance to try one. Anyways, i hope you enjoy the pedal Cheers |

i just got my OS-2 in today and im pleasantly surprised by this one. i thought it was gonna be going straight into the collection pile, but im definately gonna be bumping a different OD/Dist pedal to make room for this one in my chain. |

Hey Alien DNA, yeah I love my PW-2 (but not as much as my BD-2 just in case it's listening!). I love the bottom end I can get from this thing I still can't decide if it's a distortion or overdrive as it seems to have a bit of both. If you are lucky there are still a handful of shops around that have the PW-2 in their Boss display and that's where I got hooked on one enough to hunt around for one.
As for the dodgy ebayer, I've written to them first and see what they have to say before I decide what feedback to give them

Hi StratoShpere,
Do you have another OS-2? What is so different about this one? OS-2 seems to be one of those pedals we do not discuss often here. I know it does have some useful colours, but if you do know any of the other Boss dist. and overdrive pedals, it seems to be the one which is easily bypassed. So what do you feel is special about the one you got today?? |

| no, this is my first. it really reminds me of the SD-2 because of the range of tones you can get. its almost like a multi. definately one of those pedals you use when you can "only bring one." the reason i thought it would be a throwback is because theres no hype over these and they always go for cheap. |

Alright, I agree, but for a moment I felt like I was missing out on something. Yes I agree about its many colours, but I also believe that is execells just at that and does not really have the vibe of a great DS-1 or OD-1. Last night used both DS-1 and OD-1, and I just could not believe how open the OD-1 sounds like. I have a first version of both of those pedals, and I do not play with distorted sound often, so any time you try them you are in for that surprise.
Thanks for you set-up suggestion [I know this is a different thread, but since we are talking might as well...............]
Did use a four-line set-up as well, just as what you use, and yes, it is not that difficult. I managed to get to 14 pedals, the only ones missing were phase and flange. Had to stick to 14 pedals because of not having enough patchleads and daisy chains to hook them all up. Shops were closed at that time of day, so really....................
But then you may get too many pedals hooked up as well. did like the sounds, and yes, was switching pedals on the fly, great. Never occured to me that the TW-1 can really act as a proper Wah, great pedal really.
Oh did I get any more new pedals?? Nah, I just need to dig in deeper to get more tones out of my exhisting ones
Thanks again STrat. for the set-up idea!!! |

Hey ronster!!! Howd you go getting a reply from the dodgy ebayer?? Only ask coz just incase it happens to me one day. Would you ask for some sort of compensation coz of false advertising??

G'Day Alien DNA, all they have offered is a full refund if I want it. I thought that was all they would do. Companies like this never like to part with your money for compensation but they are happy to give people a refund so they can sell it again. Probably will hang onto the pedal as I'm happy with it! I just need to be more careful and ask more questions when bidding on 'new' stuff! |

Picked up a EH-2 yesterday and loved the sound it added. The colour goes with the 'colour' added, a nice minty green. After reading all the reviews here about the eh-2, I doubled back to the store Got it for 50Cnd at the same place i picked up my mij dd-3. I should ask where they get thier pedals, they still have the two mij ds-1s, the od-2, and a cs-1 |
