I apologise in advance for the rant but this just takes the p**s.......i've been saving up my string packets to get some of the freebies they advertise AND GUESS WHAT... if you don't live in the "lower 48" you get hit with 100% increase on shipping..that includes the people in Canada.....WTF... it's bad enough getting roasted in on import tax and handling charges bringing stuff in from the US but to be ripped off both ends.....
Check out the shipping charges... $22 per T-shirt is a bit much especially since 2 points = 1 packet of strings..1 packet of strings cost �5 in Ireland so one T-Shirt would cost 33 packets of strings x 5 = �165 before you even order and pay the shipping/import duties etc.....and whats the story with the "65 points for a t-shirt" when then only give 2 points per packet..? so in reality you have to send 66 points to make sure you get it...why couldn't they just ship a big box to your local retailer and redeem them at the counter....? i reckon they would sell a lot more strings if people knew all they had to do was go back to the shop with the empty packs for a freebie...this would nearly make me start looking at using other brands like rotosound or ernie ball etc... this a a load of and BTW D'Addario used to run promotions if you bought stuff in bulk in the shops here before..i think it was 5 packets of strings and you got free stuff because i have some pint glasses to prove it in the kitchen....this is the same pint glass they want 22 points for now plus $22 shipping....RIPOFF....SHAME ON YOU D'ADDARIO...

Cheers bro... i had a feeling you or one of the bossareans in the US would say this...but it's not the point.. they used to run promotions with the stuff in the shop and you get it there and then so they can do it if they want.... do the people on the forum from the states not think that $12 is a bit much for shipping a T-Shirt within the US...? ....
That is a f@#king rip off indeed. I've always used d'Addario strings on guitar, I really like 'em and think it's great bang for the buck, but this is outrageous.
I feel your pain... this "lower 48 only" shipping crap really gets my goat somedays. I could WALK to the Montana border from here (if I had a couple of days) but I might as well be on another planet sometimes...
