I saw in a youtube in a comparision with other tuner the peterson was way too slow finding the notes you were playing. I don't like the TU-2 neither. I don't remember right now what the other pedal was, but it was around 130 USD so I'd thought I'd go for a Korg Pitchblack instead. |

That review is misleading. Or maybe a joke? The TU-2 doesn't get more or less precise whether it's in normal mode or stream mode - it's accurate down to +/- 3 cents. It's not even as accurate as the old TU-12 according to Boss. In general I really like Boss stompboxes, but the TU-2 is obsolete. Boss needs to issue a new one.
If you're willing to burn $130 on a tuner to begin with get the The Turbo Tuner ST-200. It's insanely precise, 60 times more than the TU-2, and it tracks instantly. I got mine a week ago and it blows anything out of the water. Tuning up is faster now, it's true bypass and it takes up a little less space than the TU-2, kinda like MXR sized boxes.
Just sayin' |

Yes, that's the one I was talking about, I didn't remember the name. Anyway, for the price of it I buy two Korg Pitchblack hehehe. I think it suits me fine, the most expensive pedal in my board shouldn't be the tuner, don't you think? ;) |

There is much love on the gear page for the turbo tuner.
Almost puppy love....
Right up there with the Tim/Timmy and few others that receives the same type of praise.

Hi zestystrat
ST-122 - ST-200? Any one in particular?
The 200 looks much more robust for pedal boards.

The ST-200 is the tuner for your pedal board. It's one of those rare products where you just know it's a keeper. It also makes you think a lot about just how much really being in tune will do to your overall sound. No other tuner I've had has done that for me.
If you're playing acoustic the built in microphone on the ST-122 is what you want. |

TU12 for me.
I have a few of them lying around.
Used one since year dot on everything... guitars, basses, mandolins, woodwind, vocals! etc.
Very accurate. And very reliable (batteries seem to last forever too). |
