So here's my $0.02 on the 2xer delay. Just a quick review, since I dont have a ton of time right now to write or review.
I basically played with it on a rehearsal (with a very tight agenda ie not much time to screw around with the gtr players toys). So a few hours to twist a few knobs to get a quick sound and concentrate on the business of working on some new material.
The bad news: I guess Im used to the larger amount of delay in the dd-3s I have because it seems like a short amount of delay time. Hardly a major complaint since this pedal is doing what it is designed to do.
As a few people have said there is clearly a knob missing on this pedal since there is only one repeat knob for two delays. Two would be better and give you much more flexibility. Not having a ton of time to play around, I set the delay times totally on the opposite ends of the spectrum. Im going to assume that once I have more time to play around I might be able to find two sounds that are different and for my needs, usable. I found one useable the other meh (see my missing knob issue).
The Good: To my ears this sounds great. Warm and analog in the best way. I paid $105 shipped so even if I picked this up just for a DM-2 replacement, it might be worth it for most.
I found a number of great sounds, especially a cool rockabilly slap back that had me thinking of Elvis.
All in all there are limitations but the sound is great on this unit. Like I said, I have only spent a little time with it. I cant say for sure that more time (pun intended) will make me feel differently about the negatives listed above. That said, at the price and with the sound quality, I feel pretty good about this pedal even if I only used one setting.

M-A-N!!! Now I really hate you... In a nice voice box way.
I have to do this in software, & it feels so inorganic.
You know we are now expecting & waiting to hear some audio demos.

It'll be awhile before I can do anything too apeshit computer-wise. Mine FINALLY burnt to the ground and I have yet to find the time to pick up or build another. Been hijacking my Son's PC to take care of regular business. His sucks, so I think he'll be getting a new PC as well. Still have to remodel Mom's basement as well, so no promises on a timeline for that request. I'll do my best.
Later guys,

The original one or a reissue? I love those. They sound SRV . I've a dead TS10 lying around here. Maybe I should fix it one of these days. |

Hey Laurie Nice and it looks very minty.
I love the retro look of the re-issue 808's
Can you tell us what went faulty?

HiWitloofboer
What seems to have happened to your TS10? The ones I have seen have been belted with reverse polarity & the protection diode was faulty.
They use a 1N400x, as in 4001 or 4002 or 4004 or 4007. At 9 volts DC it really doesn't matter which one you pick & use. it's the dame with most 10 series Ibanez pedals.
Occasionally the op-amp will be fried by the reverse volts. Not much else goes wrong with that series of pedals.
Although some had PCB's where the copper tracks de-laminated easily if you applied a little too much heat. but a lot of the older Phenolic-Bakelite boards where like that.

I think that happened to mine too, but I can't find my fathers diode tester right now. The diode itself is surrounded by green powder, so I suspect that you're right. Keeley's website states that the pots tend to break down, but mine are still working correctly.
On the other hand, it's strange that my LED still works & the flip-flop still switches. |
