MervsMods - I hope that you get your baby mended - that's really unlucky I've got an old CSL Les Paul copy from my past and if that ever got damaged I'd feel just the same.
If it's any consolation, my guitar tech told me that he fixed a 5,000 (? c. $9,000 ?) Jimmy Page special edition Gibson Les Paul with a smashed headstock and split neck. It was stronger after the repair and has been gigging hard for many years now, so it can be done.
contrary to 'fear of hidden broken neck repair' if done right with metal pins, it will be stronger than a non-repaired when done. keep your paperwork for the repair in the case so you can show it was professionally done.
best not mess with this yourself unless you practiced on a $75.00 (whateverguitar).
Here is a worse case than yours. I guess babelfish or another translation program can translate the Swedish picture text. Isn't Paul Guy the True Temprament neck maker by the way.
