I'm sure there's one out there I could buy that would suit my needs, but I'd prefer to custom make my own... somewhat cheaply of course.
I'd say in all actuality an ordinary suitcase may "suit" your needs. You can shift your pedals around easily & fold it up as you say when finished. Any thrift shop should have a couple laying around for a handful of ones.
Here's a few links:

The last one has links to pics kinda sprinkled about. |

Thanks for the links! I think this is right up my alley. I had recently been regretting getting rid of a hardshell briefcase that I had a few years back that probably would have worked great.
I don't think a suitcase had actually crossed my mind, but now I'm itching to hit some thrift shops.
Thanks again. |

Actually, that's my other problem. I'll start a project, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist yet at the same time, very very impatient to finish the project. So, I'm faced with a dilemma: cut corners and finish more quickly with a subpar product(unacceptable), or shelve the project until I have sufficient time and materials to do it to my ultimate satisfaction (the usual end result). Needless to say I have very little 'shelf' space left.
Ah well, just leaves time for some of the simpler pleasures |

*bump* for the folk who haven't seen it I'm thinking about another one. Man, maybe I should just crank 'em out for $50 a piece including the adapter. Hmmm... |

| The Boss L2 bag fits nicely with room to spare for more kit. |

Wow, that board is pretty cool.
Thanks for bumping it.
With a router and a router table, you could crank those out fairly quickly. I'd use a 1/2" MDF template and pattern cutting bits.
Poplar is a fairly soft wood and machines very well with power tools. I've worked with poplar before and the most difficult thing was sanding the burn marks off. I fed the boards to slowly through the router.

I remember when you first posted this and I can't believe it's taken me this long to comment on it - it's fantastic! Even the pedals on it are just the sort of pedals that I would expect on a neat wooden board |

| Hey Joske Turbo, nice board. Looks like you got some space for a couple more pedals next to the wah, any ideas, or is that for a tuner? |
