Hi all...i was wondering if anyone here has use/used this pedal as i'm looking for a clean boost pedal at the moment..i was reading on another by rich_s that he can't get on with compressors anymore and although i haven't quite given up on my CS-3 i would like to try something different...i was looking at the xotic rc booster but it's hard to get and i've heard there is some problem with the switches also it's very expensive 200+ euro.....and santa has to come to the franzoni house for three little franzoni's this year!!!..I've had some good luck with seymours twin tube pedal so any info would be welcome before splashing the hard earned.....i had mxr micro amp booster years ago and i liked the sound i just didn't find it very loud as a booster....i reckon i would use this pedal mainly in the clean boost mode.....so any info would be appreciated.....
It's a UK HiFi gear manufacturer that has turned their hand to guitar effects, and are getting very good write ups. The Atomic Booster looks like a candidate if you're after a clean/treble booster...
My EH LPB-1 passes no signal & as simple of a circuit as it is.. what would I start testing?
It belonged to my cousin who passed away & it'd be a tribute to resurrect.
Hi Defrag
First of all do you have the schematic?
Post some internal pics, we'll see, if we can help you out.
I woulds check all mechanical things first In-out sockets The slide switch: (it's amazing how many times I find sockets-switches, that are mechanically open circuit) Broken or loose wires: BATTERY - use a known good-fresh one. Open circuit pot(rare): Look under the PCB or tag strip are there any visible shorts or anomalies. Dry or Cold Solder joints.
The rest I'll wait till you post some pics.
As I told you in another post - it seems that your ISP has blacklisted OPTUS my ISP for some reason, I am unable to PM you. And OPTUS is a really large international company & not some 2 bit back yard operation, it all seems a bit strange to me, This is the very first time I have come across the blacklisting?
