Anyone here refinish a Boss pedal? I think it would be cool to do one in hammertone paint, replace the rubber foot pad with a piece of diamondplate aluminum, and change the knobs to Fulltone-style knobs.

I paint all the pedals I use live Black. People always look at my board to try and copy what I'm doing (weird for a small town cover band) and this makes it more difficult for them. I like the looks I get from guitarist spies.

Damn!...Laurie is a god saw the links beautiful. I have stock sickness and like to leave all my pedals as stock the way I got it. Has anyone tried carwax? It really cleans out the outer shell nicely and shiny of a boss pedal...it makes gig worn pedals like it came out of the factory designed "gig worn" from a famous guitar player. Similar to the road worn custom shop of Fender Guitars, you know where they copy each nick and scratch and sell it that way...Am I crazy??? maybe obsessive, compulsive..LOL!

how did you match up the colors?..i have a friend back home that can probably match any color on the face of this earth

Guitarist spies? Do you have some secret information about their next plan? Do I need to worry about them stealing my sound?
