| Thats nice. Ebay takes a cut from 0.01 and the seller gets $45 to themselves...an Ebay newbie bought it because others would have probably reported the lopsided listing.... |

| I guess it's a good deal for both if the price is right. |

is that not alowed (to make money off shiping)?
I wanted to buy some decals a while ago and emailed the seller asking for a better shipping price, since i could find a way for under a buck. He emailed me back saying he couldnt lower it because some of the price for the actual item was part of it, and thats how he made money. |

eBay doesn't take a cut out of shipping, only the sale price. But you are not allowed to inflate the price of shipping in order to avoid paying ebay. I don't know the specifics of it, but I just know its not really looked upon highly by eBay. Since I am no eBay expert, just read what they have about shipping policies and prices. I do recall them cutting back on stuff like this though, because in the past I would see, for example, a pedalboard package from the same seller in separate listings, one would be pedalboard for $120+$10 S&H, but then another for the exact same item, $5 pedalboard+$125 S&H. They wanted to crackdown on stuff like this, as it was confusing to buyers, and of course, ebay would much rather get a cut from $120 than $5....Technically though, shipping is supposed to be for shipping and any costs relating to shipping like transport and materials, and not to offset any ebay fees. |

| ya i think its smart to keep fees down. as long as the buyer knows how much shipping is. ive had a seller try and pull a fast one on me before with crazy shipping prices and it was mostly my fault for not checking first, but we worked it out luckily. |
