| I put a lot of faith in his 'reviews'. He can play, and he has good gear. I am not interested in how a pedal sounds with a Squier Tele plugged into a Peavey Rage. I doubt any pedal would sound good. This guy has good guitars, good amplifiers, and he plays great pedals. Sort of like Pro Guitar Shop. Andy can play his ass off, and has great gear as well. |

I prefer him to Andy for multiple reasons.
1) GMD gets ahold of alot rarer/boutique pedals and tries them with a variety of different guitars/amps. Any thing Andy plays I could go down to PMT and demo myself I havent heard of most of the pedal makes GMD shows!
2) I find GMDs approach to demoing alot more entertaining
3) Andy 95% of the time uses that 65 amp soho, and it sounds nasty
Ah well. Both are good, but GMD is great |

GMD is my go-to guy when I want to evaluate pedals. Pro Guitar Shop can give me an idea of how a pedal sounds, but it's without context. A/Bing them against each other the way GMD does really lets you figure out which you like best.
I also like how he repeats a lick with different settings - check out his early demo of the BYOC Mouse. |

he makes great reviews, but i loved him more back when everyone thought he was jack black, lol.
i remember laughing real hard when he reviewed the digitech whammy "what the hell do you guys use this for, i see it on every pedalboard" i remember laughing so hard at that part..
see it: its well worth it
