I'm suprised this kind of thing wasn't in the FAQ section already.
Has anyone found a good source for decent replacement knobs for their BOSS pedals? I'm looking for the small type found on a pedal such as the BF-2.
Simple black with colored line on the top.
I found some on eBay but when I recieved them they were absolute junk - thin plastic, no substance to them.
Anyhow, anyone know the secret to finding these (in small quantities)?

The only place I've found for these is Roland. Prices are OK, but the shipping sucks, so I usually wait until I need some part for an expensive pedal then get them to throw some assorted knobs and jacks into the package.

| Wow they want $1.43 per knob and then $8.00 to ship them. What a money grab! |

Actually, that's about right - generic knobs from almost any on-line supplier are about that cost.
Trouble is... you'll probably convince yourself to get a few more parts to spread the shipping cost out a bit and before you know it, you'll be collecting and repairing pedals |

I'm assuming these knobs are the more recent type, with the smooth body and white/coloured top; not the older, ridged knob with the orange line?
If Roland still stock those, I'm having some! |

| Well I assume they are direct (older/original) replacements as I mentioned they were for a BF-2 and the guy implied that these were BF-2 knobs. |

| I think it depends what vintage you have. My BF-2 is a MIJ with black ridged knobs, but I've seen at least couple (probably MIT?) with the smooth, more slender knobs. |
