Looks like another big dump coming down. The flakes are so big that the kids aren't even bothering to make snowballs. They just catch a flake out of the air and throw that. I am still waiting for the insurance adjustor to appear and assess the ruins of the garage. My stuff is fucked big time. To top it all off, I am as sick as a dog, my throat is SO sore. I hope that I don't have the stratitis that Goran mentioned in the other thread. Damn, if I had only known, I would have had the innoculation. |

Zerksies, where in Jersey are you? I am in Western Monmouth County Near Burlington and Ocean Counties... pretty much dead center.
Today went up to Princeton and Lawrenceville; there were a few flakes coming down between three and five PM with about a three-quarter inch accumulation. The plows and salt trucks were all out, but it was sort of absurd, as the majority of the snow just melted from traffic.
Here on the farm we've got about one inch, and it's still coming down but turning to sleet. Should be good and icy tomorrow! |

Last time we had really bad snow was about 1982.... the weather forcast is for 150mm of snow tonight, that about 6 inches for you other folks still using imperial measurements.. .looking out the window right now is like looking at Zerksies avatar... i think i might as well do a Homer J and tuck into the beer in the fridge.. ....... |

Me too - the West of England is catching some serious snow too - I can't remember it like this for about 15 years or so in this part of the world.
Bit of a pain though as we've got some serious rehearsing to do tomorrow and our kit has to be humped down a steepish slope to the studio - anyone got a sledge we can borrow? A four man Marshall JVM bobsleigh...bring it on!! |

We had more snow but being Ireland we had some heavy rain in between that washed it all away ..now it's snowing again and it's all turning into slush... the danger now is tonight it will freeze and all turn to ice....i can't understand how it can rain and snow at the same time, surely that mean some serious temperture fluctuations to cause this..it was -4 last night and forcasted the same again for tonight....all i know is were having some really strange weather patterns for this time of year..i have stuff growing in the front garden that shouldn't be starting to sprout leaves for another 4/6 weeks..... |
