I've recently noticed a few units that appear with a black font on the pedal as opposed to the classic white font. I have only seen 2 of these so far. What's going on or what did I potentially miss? Did we just change the font color or did an internal revision occur as well?

I can't answer your question but I thought I would chime in and say mine is a white font version.

The pic on the ebay ad makes it look like a HR-2, a nice blue colour rather than a green/teal colour.

Mine has white lettering, but I'm interested in more. Maybe Bossarea can shed some light.

I haven't seen an actual photo of a PS-5 with black text. The photoshopped picture has been around for a while but none of the major Roland sites are using it. I'm thinking the prototypes may have been made with black text, then changed to white before production started but that's just guessing.
