quote: Fulltone Wahfull®
11 years ago I made a couple of fixed wah wah effects I called the Wahfull®..they were simply the guts from a wah wah stuffed inside a box with a knob so you could find that perfect Mid-Boost sound every time you kicked it on. Nice effect, sold a few, moved on.
Last week Robin Trower called me and said he was doing some gigs with Jack Bruce and asked "would it be possible to have a wah wah in a regular box so that one could get that "fixed wah" sound by clicking on the pedal?"
I laughed and said:
"How 'bout I do that, but put 2 wah wah's in one housing (controlled by one Pot with one BIG knob), the second wah footswitchable...(2 being better than 1, right?) AND what if that second wah had a little toggle switch that would reverse the wiring making it Trebly while the other one is Bassy? And what would happen if the high mids on one were being boosted at the same time as the low mids on the other...wow!
Anyway, it turned out Freaky and fantastic...but you get so much sustain that you could probably hurt yourself, someone else, or your amp if you're not careful, particularly at stage volume levels, which led me to the final improvement....
A Mix control which lets you choose how much of your original un-affected signal gets blended with the affected signal.
Freaky, but damned useful as the supreme Analog Guitar Tone Modifier...imagine what could be done with this in the studio or live to give you a few dozen more personalities to your usual 2 or 3 sounds.
coming some day.

Sounds a little more complex than an SP-1. I've been toying with the idea of getting a Logan "Wah-Anti-Wah", but I think I'll wait for the Wahfull. I've already emailed Fulltone stating my interest after reading your post & looking at their site. Thanks for the heads up on this one Mully.

| Looks cool. I was hoping Boss would do a pedal with a variety of wah and eq effects. Add in some compressors and boost functions, put it in the twin format, call it a Dynamics Processor DP-20. |

This is basically a "fixed wah" effect in a stompbox. Dunlop makes a similar effect called the "Q-zone".
I liked the sound on those Brian May type samples, not the playing... |
