Sadly the Flanger lacks a Effect level knob like on Chorus and Delay pedals. This would be a great to make it give it more control over the balance of the wet/dry. Companies set them to about 50/50.
Most flangers seem to have the standard four knobs.
Why is the flanger the doubler without an E.Level knob?

Flanging originated from people holding their finger on the flange of the tape reel of a tape delay unit, to slow down the reel speed and create a swirling effect. Flanger pedals try to mimic that effect. The volume level was not affected by that method, so flangers have no effect level control.

How true. Running it through a LS-2 in A+B mix isn't the same either.
Did find a couple Flangers with Effect levels, but they were also chorus as well.
Good thing I know which resistor to twiddle with...

Was it Phil Spector or the Beatles who discovered flanging?

OK, this is too weird, did a Wiki of Flange, and got this...
