Inda house! I must say its perfect for thrashing death metal riffs. The Low & High knobs are effective but I wish it had a bit more control, maybe even a para-mid. Anyway, my kid loves it. I think the MT-2 Metal Zone is a bit more versatile though. The pedal sure has a a beautiful flake finish. Now I see more pedalboards in our future.

Guitar Center has a couple, not sure about online though. It sounds rich like the MT-2 but just doesn't have the 2-stage sound or adjustability since it lacks the parametric midrange. I wish I had the HM series for comparison. If you don't have an MT-2, the ML-2 would make a good 2nd choice. It really doesn't compare well with the standard distortion pedals like the MD-2, DS-1, etc though as its tone really specs toward the thrash metal. I see BOSS as simply cashing in on the sound & opening up the market to those folks that play that type of music(?). The video at BOSS does fair justice to its capabilities.

I tried the FZ-5 & DN-2 tonight as well. The Fuzz was alright but certainly not a prominent box of fizz which I expected through all its modes. I imagine it sounds close to those pedals it models through COSM but can't speak from experience. I think I'd like the FZ-2 instead for a good solid BOSS fuzzbox. The DN-2 was interesting & can certainly find a place in many pedalboards. I really liked the distorted sound & it ramped up from its clean tone nicely. Seemingly, its application would be rather limited but it gave a great boost from easy melodic picking.

I'm really pysched about the pending release & availability of the two BOSS/Fender pedals though. The '65 Verb sounds pretty good but I'm keen on the '59 Bassman. Its gonna rock & I'll have to buy or build another board just to hold it!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program...

ML2, now that's a pedal I want in my pedal board )))
My guitar dealer is getting some soon !

I bought an hm3 on ebay, and I think the sound is a little bit cold...I have just tried it alone though, well see in band practice )
