Hi spatescroll
Most music shops, will sell you a DC daisy chain cable. Some are 6 way & the Boss one, I think is 7 way. Here is a link to an example of one, & how it works: http://www.johnnyshredfreak.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=51&zenid=321be59272cbf9affa483d3dddac8184
So you can hook up more power to more pedals, as long as you don't exceed the maximum power rating of the plug pack adapter.
The Boss one is more expensive, I get the 5 or 6 way daisy chain power cables, from a local music shop that gets them in from some Asian country.
I pay about $5 to $7 Australian. Don't ask the price $$$ of the Boss cable.
Beats making a power splitter.
Regards Dr. Bob

That's fine, you think 2 pedal on one PSA will make some noise more than one only? I spend much money for a VooDoo Lab Pedal Power Plus 2 which give no hum at all but I got 10 pedals and one PSA for 2 other Boss if will work good will save money, but if not ok for sound I'll buy another VooDoo.

| Daisy-chaining power from a PSA adapter will always cause some noise due to the sharing of grounds between pedals. Just remember though, it really depends on the pedals themselves & the noise may in fact be inaudible until you start cascading many pedals together & compressors, distortions, & overdrives seem to cause the greatest introduction of noise into your signal. This is expected due to additional amplification but may in fact be less related to ground-sharing of power inputs. |

What about using an LS-2 powered by a PSA to supply power to a few other pedals? I realize one still needs a daisy-chain cable, but I'm wondering if anyone has done this and if it's noisier than batteries or the same.
The more pedals I acquire, the more often I have to stop at the Dollar Tree to get those 'twofer-a-buck' Sunbeam 9V batteries. I'm starting to get tired of checking them all. |

Adding another pedal (such as the LS-2) simply to get at its power out jack doesn't seem like a very cost-effective method. After all, the second jack is just connected in parallel to the first, so it's just the same as a regular daisy chain cable.
But...

You already have a Voodoo Lab PP2+? You don't need another unit, or any extra PSA adapters. Each output on the PP2+ is a separate 100mA (250mA for outputs 5/6) power supply, so you can easily daisy-chain a couple of pedals from the same output. Just make sure the combined current draw is less than the max capacity of the output used. You may have to experiment a little, finding combinations of pedals that work well together, but aside from that there shouldn't be a problem.

I like stinkfoot's solution - multiple daisies out of a Pedal Power. I've seen this put to good use..
As for daisy chains themselves, I find the Ibanez DC-3 and 5 to be bulky and overpriced.. The Godlyke (virtually identical to the Visual Sound stuff) "Cable-5" is about half the price around these parts.

I've already got an LS-2, and a PSA wallwart, so the big expense will be the proper daisy-chain cable. Does anyone have an extra that they might consider selling?
Not really too concerned whether it's a Boss brand, as long as it does the job. |

Daisy chains are only ten bucks! Postage for a used one is probably three bucks. Go to the music store and ask the nice man for a daisy chain for pedals. |

| A used PSM-5 is also a nice option. You can pick them up pretty cheap nowadays, and you can buy another 5 pedals and power them all. |

There was a table somewhere but I cant find the link. Just download the manuals from www.roland.com - it's in the back. |
