Why did they stop making a pedal with such cool features? And what took its place?

simple as it sounds, i think pedals become discontinued if they dont sell very well.

Nothing exactly replaced it- you wwould need to get two pedals to do its job. The SD-2 is my favorite Boss pedal ever, by the way, and the only distortion/overdrive I use right now. (And I went through a bunch of them)

Just got one on Ebay for $42. Saw a session guy on an instructional video tape and his setup was simple but sounded awesome!
