Bought a "dead" GE-7 this week "for repair".

It wouldn't turn on. C30 (one of the trigger capacitors for the flip-flop) was open circuit, so it wouldn't flip. I swapped the two trigger caps and it changed to not flopping, so it was easy to find. Never seen a fault in the flip-flop before.

It is from 1997 and in perfect condition. I think it has probably been faulty/flakey for years so has never really been used. Nice

Hi Laurie

Good work spotting that one.
It's always interesting to read your "I fixed it stories"

It's interesting that we are starting to see more,
& more faults on various Boss pedals.
I suppose it's not surprising as the the pedals get older & older.

I have a sneaking suspicion, that the CE-2 that I gig with,
has gone out of spec-calibration,
It just doesn't have that CE-2 Zing any more.

Regards Dr. Bob
