I'm going to create my own guitar lesson video series. It will teach you all the bad habbits I aquired over 28 years of playing like,

Lesson #1. bending the neck when you don't have a tremolo,

Lesson #2. getting drunk before a gig,

Lesson #3. pretending that there's no such thing as pinky on you hand,

Lesson #4. running way to many pedals off of one power supply,

Lesson #5 how to break a tremolo arm off in three easy steps.

I'll get rich overnight

I do this all the time with all my instuments, guitars and basses.
The other day I picked up an acoustic bass guitar at a music store, played a little and a caught myself almost doing the neckbending thing. I stopped just in time, and noone saw it, but one wise words guys, only do it to your own instruments, some people really freak out when they see it.

On the other hand, Billy Sheehan used an old P bass for 20 years, and he often bend as far as a full step down and has never snapped the neck on that bass or on any of his Yamahas either.

Slash however did break a neck on one of his les Pauls during such an action

I've done it too but only with a set neck, never with a bolt-on. That scares the hell out of me
