Anyone have any mod ideas that make this thing a bit smoother? (with maybe a bit more gain?)

Change C3/R6 to .1/2k2 for twice the gain

Theres lots that can be done, but a simple one is change the C7 and C10 electros to metal film.
Did you want it more compressed or more 'open'

Guessing since you'd want to keep the original tone til the end of the circuit, change R16/R17 to 100ohm/10k.
If you find you need more change C10 to a 10uf cap

Thanks for the ideas! I'll get to it sometime this week. I also found a "bass" mod - thinking of trying it and putting the pedal into my bass chain if it sounds OK.
