When I was a lad I got a DS-1 Boss distortion pedal and I couldn�t get it to sound like anything. Somewhere in the process I turned the guitar volume all the way up � and it worked!
I don�t remember anything in the instructions that said to do this. It makes perfect sense now that the pedal works by increasing the gain.
Is there anything in the instructions now to tell one to do that? I wonder if others ever had that problem (or do now) or am I the only noob?
