Hi guys,
I just made this bizarre but great deal a couple of days ago. A pedal collector was selling most of his old Boss stuff. Actually i only wanted to check out his DCs, but ended up taking these six home:
DC-2 DC-3 SP-1 DM-3 FZ-2 BD-2
I never considered myself a real collector, especially with the SP-1 and all that. But now it's like looking in the mirror: You've become one of those gearheads!!! Oh well, just thought like sharing it with you - and my girlfriend is allready tired of my pedal talks

That's quite a list! Of course, we all want to know how much you paid!
Grace and peace,
Steve

Ouch, I was affraid someone would ask. Well it cost me almost 500 euros, which is far more than my monthly income (a student scholarship + part-time job). But i must say i'd rather spend it on these pedals than on college books
I guess i'm going to have to sell some of it sooner or later. We'll see. But at least i've had the chance to play with these lovely things for a while. |

You got that DF-2 last night, right? I considered putting in a bid but the auction ended around 1AM and that's way past my bed time so I had to give it up. If we're talking about the same one you got a good deal there. |

That would be the one... and trust me, I put such an insane bid on that, i don't think i could have missed out. I've been waiting for one for a while, i've been trying to persuade a guy in the US to ship me his, and this turned up...
Did you see the other version with the missing knob? I emailed roland to find out what a new knob would cost, they put me one in the post! So i've got a spare knob.... :D I was actually going to pick up the other version as well for the hell of it, but i'm not that much of a completist, and i'd rather pick up some Sovtek pedals I've found instead.... |

Must have missed the one with the missing knob. Anyway, it's always good to have some spare parts around. When I ordered a knob for my SD-1 I ordered 2 just to have another one in case a good deal comes up. |

Yes and No :) I collected guitars, but now my wife is pregnant my spare room is being transformed into a nursery, and most of the instruments will probably get stored till i buy a bigger house. So I've decided to channel my hobby into effects instead, and i've decided to pick up all the old pedals that i lusted after but never got.
The Metalizer was my dream pedal for years. To be honest, it's not as great as my brain hyped it to be, but i still love it. The HM-2 is excellent.

Just picked up a broken DS-1 off Ebay. For £7 I don't expect it to be in great shape. Wonder what I'm going to get. |

| You could build something completely different and put inside the case, a DS-1 chorus would be nice… |

the Eh-2 is one of the most underated boss pedals. It kind of flew in under the radar, didn't sell very well, and became one of the best secret weapons in the used market. Congrats Ace! you got yourself a really good pedal. |
