Well without going into too much detail, it has 1 input jack and a pot which varies from zero resistance between tip and ground. to a certain resistance depending on the type of pot is used. I might be wrong but there is not much schematic too it.
I don't believe there are any schematic for expression pedals out there, but if you have a problem with yours or want to make your own then your questions are welcome here. well not in the compact pedals section but i'm sure it will be moved to another section shortly. |

| That diagram supplied by nosi0 is a good starting point. I think the boss expression pedal has another pot, to control the minimum setting. Expression pedals differ from brand to brand. I'd say a 100k pot would be the best to use and a switch to flip how the pot is wired to the jack. M-audio make a universal expression pedal, which has a polarity switch. The other thing to consider when building one is the enclosure. I tried making a volume pedal with an old crybaby but it didn't have a long enough range of travel. |

Hi samuelprincejfm
I believe Christo(Mephisto), had a link, or a schematic of one of, the Roland/BOSS expression/volume pedals.
Perhaps he will chime in & leave a post.
The most difficult part will the mechanics to house your project. Do you have any old wah's or volume pedals to sue?
Also note that in one of your replies you mentioned quote:

You may have to take into account, that some gear uses an A to D (Analog to Digital) converter & some other support circuitry-buffers to feed digital data into the expression pedal port. It's just one more thing to think about.
I guess you really need the data/specs, on all the products you wish to control, with your home made Exp. Pedal.

| The Zoom pedal schematic is not a standard expression pedal is it? I thought standard was just a pot connecting tip to ground with variable resistance? Although if you connect the Zoom pedal to a mono jack for exp pedal i think it would still work. |
