In October I came across this site in became interested in Boss stomp boxes. I previously owned a Digitech GNX3 and then a GNX4 I didn't keep either of them long because they were overly complicated and I had a hard time getting the sound that I wanted. I stumbled onto this site and came down with the sickness.

This is the family so far. The CE-20 was my first, I got it at the begining of November.

The DC-3 is the most recent. I got it today.

Hi aaronharmon
First of all, welcome to the forum from Australia.

Nice collection.
Congrats on treating your GAS to a healthy collection of pedals.

That's an interesting color combination of knobs on your (MZ-2) Digital Metalizer.

Regards Dr. Bob

That's how the MZ-2 was when I got it. I didn't realize that they were not right at first, but I actually think it looks kinda cool.

I really want an SG-1, but they are way too exspensive. Boss should seriously consider reissueing that pedal. Even if it were a limited run it would be cool.

I am really kind of suprised that they haven't done that yet. It seams that everyone is going retro. I think it sounds like a no brainer to reissue limited runs of "collector's edition" pedals MIJ with the original specs/components etc.

The EH-2 is also great. It's very subtle, but I definately miss it when it's gone. It's funny, because at first I thought it was broken but after about 15 minutes of playing with it I definately noticed it was missing when I turned it off.

The DC-3 was a great find. I got a really good price on it too. it is in very good condition and sounds great.

There are still a lot of pedals on my want list, but I think I will slow down a bit now. I got most of the bases covered with these (I also have a CS-3 and a TR-2 on the way.)

I have really enjoyed this site so far by the way, I think I have read just about all of it : )

Welcome to the forum.

That's a healthy collection of twin pedals you have there. How much fun is the SL-20? It has slowly been creeping up my wants list.

Welcome to the forum... nice collection of boss stuff i especially like your RT-20/DD-20 twin pedals..how do you find the quality of the RT-20's leslie effect compared to to the simulation in the Digitech GNX stuff..?..your comment on re-issuing older boss pedals has come up before on the forum,i think the last time it ran for about 7 or 8 pages........

It is a lot of fun. It definitely gives you some creative possibilities that are otherwise impossible.

If you play or record in stereo it is really cool. You can make the slices ping pong or even swirl around you like surround sound. It is a very cool effect.

also, you can apply different effects to the individual L\R channels
to get some really cool effects. The biggest obstacle is your own imagination.

To be honest, I don't remember trying the effect on the GNX's and I am certain that I never A/B'd them because I got rid on the GNX4 before I got the RT-20.

I can say that the effect is very authentic on the Boss pedal. I have never heard a leslie speaker attached to a guitar (in person) but heard them many times through organs many times when I was growing up.

RT-20 adds a real sense of movement. Plus the pedal has different volume and speed switches for the horn and tweeter so it is a tweakers goldmine.

Yeah, I was going to say something about it too, surprised that no one said anything else before. I started my Boss Collection in may and now I have three compacts And you already have a very expensive RC-50 among others. Very nice!
