As far as I always understood they did use the "use a coin label" a bit longer when they changed to blackscrews, guess they had a few labels left.
Did you get your book yet scrappy1 ?

If so, did the early black screws have a slot in them?
I mean it would be kinda hard to use a coin on one without a slot.

The type 1 label was used for quite some time after the introduction of the black screw. There was never a black screw with a slot in it. The term "thumb screw" was introduced with the new black screw but it didn't show up on the labels until a bit later.

That makes sense, since I have 4 black screw pedals w/ Type 1 label.

"sp-1",
No I haven't gotten the book yet.
I haven't tried to change my Amazon password yet.
These books don't come up much on FeePay do they?

Thank you,
My wife got the Amazon thing straightened out.
I ordered one up.
Can't wait!
I hope it answers every question I have!
Probably not, I like to ask a lot of questions!
Thanks again!

It does answer a lot of questions but in some cases the information is incorrect so read everything with a critical eye. Some of the things we've found to be incorrect is the production/sales dates of the OD-1 and CE-2 (and possibly a few others as well) and the information about type 3 labels. It's still a very good read though.
