Hi Guys
I am looking for a schematic for the Dean Markley Overlord III
Overdrive pedal.

Not the Valve Overlord, but the one that use a JRC4558 op-amp.

My unit suffers from Tone suck so bad, I get less than 30% of the guitars signal, in bypass mode.

So I guess it really suffers from Volume Suck...

This is really great sounding overdrive & seem to work normally when activated.
It give a very nice rock overdrive sound, much nicer than my Ibanez TS10 Screamer, & some other overdrives that I own.
It would be a great live sound pedal.

I really like using this pedal, but the Volume Suck, is too big an issue to ignore, other than for making a bypass looper.

I have the Sch. for the valve version.

Regards Dr. Bob

Hi Guys
A quick update on this repair.

After a bit of , I have now repaired this unit.

But I'm still chasing the schematic, for my archives.
It's the Op-amp based Overlord III not the tube version.

Dr. Bob,

I sure don't have it, but this place appears to be selling it for US $8.

Hi Laurie & guys

It was a the FET bypass switching, the one of the FETs, went into a fixed resistive fault.

This why the pedal was "sucking the volume level" in bypass mode.

Hi Guys

I'm just bumping one of my older threads.
Just in case anyone, or a new member has this schematic.
Or knows of one on the web, as I don't really want to pay some place $8-10 for a photocopy.

Please remember it's the Overlord III with the op-amp.
Not the Tube version, I have the Sch. for the tube version.

Regards Dr. Bob
