Yes, I can see what you mean. The treadle is not properly aligned with the pedal base. One of those screw holes might have been drilled. |

Wow... that's the first tme I've ever seen a manufacturing defect like this! Seen two electronic component defects now, but nothing mechanical like this.
The two factory electronic defects were (in case any one is interested): 1) mullyfx's OD-1 pedal had a diode factory installed the wrong way around
2) My ACA MIT CE-2 has a 390R resistor factory installed where a 100R resistor should be in the "ACA diode/resistor pair". Pedal wont work at all on a PSA adapter - not enough voltage gets to the flip-flop.

Mabye it's a prototype ergonomic design for musicians who favor using their left foot for switching. You know, like those Microsoft keyboards with the hump in the middle.

I'm not sure we can say that this is a factory defect. spatescroll has just taken ownership of the pedal so we don't really know what has happened to it in the past. |

Maybe some muppet dropped a speaker on it like my LS-2 before spatescroll got it... to be honest once it worked it wouldn't bother me too much..... |

Yes but it has non chips or marks, and metal is not bent. So I think can only be a problem of print and scrw holes not aligned, in this case would be only a fabric problem. It sound and wors fine, but I think value is lower and for this should be mentioned, I payed like a regular one (around $65). |

Hi spatescroll
Thanks for the picture.
Will you please take the treadle off the pedal. And take some more pictures of the underside of the Treadle the inside of the top.
And please also take pics of the right & left side of the bottom part, where the screws, screw into the the base.
It sort of looks like one of the holes is not it the right place.
If you could place a ruler near in the pictures for reference, that would be good as well.
Sorry if I am asking too much.
But this is an interesting topic/problem & most of us here have never seen this type of thing before.
Thanks & Regards Dr. Bob |
