Current Boss pedals:
OD-3 MD-2 CH-1.
Just won a BD-2 off ebay, gonna sell the line6 crunchtone (or turn it into a rotomachine with a new module).
Decided to dump the wasabi pedals.
Next I need a phaser or reverb.
Is the PH-3 that bad? |

Careful, once you're addicted there's no antidote
I don't think the PH-3 is bad. I admit the old phasers do have something the PH-3 doesn't have but the PH-3 is more versatile with its settings switch. It's a shame it doesn't have stereo outputs though. |

| In my opinion the ph-3 isn't that bad, but a PH-2 sounds much better as far as general phase goes. I also own an Electro Harmonix Small Stone, an MXR Phase 90 and a Danelectro Pepperoni Phaser. The PH-2 by far sounds the best out of all of those, I have no PH-1 or PH-1r to compare to though. The PH-3 has some silly one-trick-pony things that they added though, such as the step function. That thing begs you to make fun of anyone using it and clearly identifying that you are using a ph-3. I don't know its not awful though I just never like it enough to keep it in heavy rotation in my setup. |

Man I hear ya about being a junkie, Just try an old CE-2 though for the pure uncut give you the nods and make you scratch ya nose stuff. Sorry I reverted to my late teens for just a second there. In all seriousness the CE-2 & BF-2 are the warmest chocolate cakiest I have ever heard. Yall think cakiest is a word? |

It is now! but all joking and drug refrences aside I've tired the PH-3 and for the 4 stage setting alone I'd buy it. The only thing i really don't like is the volume drop in the PH-3. |

DITTO. I LOVE THE 4 STAGE SOUND, BUT, IT VOLUME DROPPED SUBSTANTIALLY IN 4 STAGE MODE. I BOUGHT 3 PH-3'S IN THE HOPES THAT MY 1ST WAS A DUD, WHEN THE 3RD ONE VOLUME DROPPED, I GAVE UP.
IS THERE SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO KNOWS HOW TO TWEAK A PH-2 TO MAKE THE 4 STAGE SOUND???? |

| Hi Telemike, No offense intended with my off the wall comments. I was just being kooky. I have a PH-1r on the way and I'll let you know what I think of it after I test it out. My only other phase type of effect is a Fulltone Mini Deja-Vibe which I highly recommend. |

| I can't wait to get the BD-2 to go along with my OD-3. I love the OD-3. I just can't get the crunchtone to do what I want. |
