Picked up an RGE-10 for Christmas and it sounds excellent - really gutsy and adds something different to a mix.
However, I've since noticed that it's physically a bit different from the other Micro rack units I have. As you'll see in this photo (very dark studio - apologies for poor quality but you'll get the idea), it's a much darker grey and the on/off, in/out switches are a different size and colour. It works fine but I've never seen this difference in design / build before - I just wondered if anyone else has?

Thanks for your help.

I have the RCL-10 (looks the same as yours) and the RPW-7 and they are definitely different. I think that has more to do with the fact that the RPW-7 is a power supply and has an all metal housing though...
I've not seen an RGE-10 in person so I wouldn't know if they are all like that or if you have an unusual unit... Is it MIJ like (I assume) the others are? |

Nice Microrack stack!
I have the RPH-10, RCE-10 and RDD-20 at the moment. I did have an RRV-10 but sold it. My RDD is a later black model, the others are all grey.

If you check the old product catalogues, the grey bodies and light grey switches are in the 1987 brochure, and the black bodies with black switches are in the 1988 brochure. I don't know about production dates though. My serial numbers are on my other machine right now... |

That's normal, I have a grey/color knobs '85 RDD-10 and a black/white knobs '90 RCL-10. They must've changed it somewhere in between.

Thanks for your help guys - it all makes sense to me now.
Of course, what I hadn't realised is that this is the 'white knob' version of the Micro Rack but without the knobs if you know what I mean, as it only has sliders
The symetry is restored to the studio and all is well again with the Micro Racks. |

Hello !
I just got a ROD-10 from Japan, it has black front and color buttons...But the color are not the same as The_Doc's one...So I think it has been "customized" by a previous owner...
Does anybody know where can I find white button to restore its original look ?
