Hi sextorx
Welcome to the forum from Australia.
I know you are new to the forum, so please look around, the other Threads & topics. There have been, & are a few threads relating to pedal boards.
Defrag, thanks for posting the link.
Regards Dr. Bob

Probably a really stupid question here but I don't have time to do a search(I have a gig tonight), but is there a photo album option in our profiles? This would be a great place to show off our gear, guitars amps pedals etc. I frequent some other forums that have this and it's really a great option.

| It could be quite easy. If someone get like a photobucket account and then people can send him pics and we can post the link to that site somewhere.. Is that a good idea? |

| That would work in theory. But what I was suggesting was something like clicking on a poster's name to see their profile info. There you could click on a link to a photo album hosted right here on this site. Might be easier than going to a photobucket...just my opinion... |

Sorry, How is he a party pooper? He had done nothing wrong and was actually suggesting a valid idea. A damn good one too. |

w00t +1 here too.

The biggest issue for profile-related pics is server space.. but would definitely be the cleanest and best solution.
Photobucket or flickr allow external linking, but it'd be hard/impossible to make it standardized across the forum, for all users. And then when those sites close down, our entire user photo record is gone..
In this time of strife and uncertainty, why can't we just all.. be.. friends? |

Sextorx, Excuse the hell outa me for trying to be helpful. I don't post on this forum very much, but I do catch up every day with people who know a little more about Boss pedals than I do. I've never looked at my own profile, much less viewed anyone else's, so I wasn't 100% sure how that worked.
Next time I try to be helpful I'll keep it to myself. Thanks a lot. |

OK as Moderator.
I have read back through this entire thread.
And from what I read & understand: It appears that sextorx has misinterpreted or misread one of silvertone6120's posts. To me the post from silvertone6120, reads that silvertone6120 is saying, that silvertone6120 feels the silvertone6120 is posting a stupid question, in reference to his own post. It's a totally seperate question & post.
And Not a reply, implying that the Question sextorx posted was stupid.
English can be such a fickled & confusing language. Even our (Thumbs Up) emoticon , is considered rude & offensive in some countries.
I think verivorax summed it up nicely:
quote:

I believe it's time to move forward, or perhaps find some other place to play.

No need to lock this one Dr Bob. I'm an adult and will act as such. Maybe in my original post I should have started with "This is probably a stupid question" instead of "Probably a stupid question"...that way you'd know it was coming directly from me and not aimed at anyone in particular. I guess I was typing conversationally...how we would speak if we chatting about effects pedals over a beer and a burger or something. From my standpoint I certainly didn't mean to rattle any cages, even if mine was.
Cheers
Edit: never thought my 100th post would be something like this...oh well... |
