I was googling around for 2nd hand boss pedals when i came accross this ad:
http://sydney.gumtree.com.au/c-Stuff-for-Sale-musical-instruments-BOSS-SLOW-GEAR-W0QQAdIdZ161610041
I emailed the guy amd asked if he would take $250 for it, and he did. It is now in the mail Although it has no box or manual, im still fairly happy. From what ive seen, these go for $300 Aus ++ even in this condition. Do you agree? Or have i spent too much?

| How does it sound to you? or do you only want it as a collector? I'm interested in the effect, but I wouldn't buy it. Not now, at least, I'd rather find a verbzilla or something like that. |

Im not sure of its serial number, I still have not received it yet. I will be sure to take some photos when I get it!
Where am I supposed to put this in my chain? After the delay? |

Very close to the front of the chain. It needs a completely clean, stable signal to work. |

I couldn't get mine to work anywhere other than 1st in the chain- maybe after a compressor if you have one, this may improve things.....
Its certainly not the most responsive of pedals- you have to leave a clear 'gap' in between notes for it to really work- it can't handle fast playing ;)
Its kind of like a demented noise gate, its quite a strange effect....
Thats a great score you got there though at that price- good work

Congrats! That is one pedal I'd love to find, though they are very pricey. |

Thanks guys!
I don't run a compressor my chain. It goes like this: TU-2>Cry Baby>PS5>SD1>DS1>HM2 >MT2>CE3>DM3>RV3> RE20
So I guess ill try it after my Tuner. It will hopefully turn up in the mail this week, and I shall clean it, photograph it and test it and report back to you all soon! |

Well everyone, my SG-1 turned up in the mail today. Its serial number is 9300 which dates it to April 1980. For a 29 Year old pedal, this thing is surprisingly in good condition. Its rubber grommet is still intact as well! There are 2 noticeable nicks in the paint, and a few various scratches in the in the paint which you can not see in these photos.. This thing actually sounds good. IMO, it does what its supposed to do! And its true, you cant play too fast, other wise it just sounds wrong. I made a small video clip, im attempting to upload it to youtube at the moment. This thing is staying on my board for sure, i actually like it. Only problem is, ive run out of room! Especially now since i just won a PH-1r on evilbay too Anyway, i took some photos for you all, and some internals for Dr.Bob, if your interested Cheers everyone! Jake.

Notice the over spray!

And my now full pedal board!
