Hi there! I was wondering, if the FV-50L or FV-50H could be used as an expression pedal, as well? By the way, what is the difference between the two? Many thanks for any input.
AFAIK usually the FV-50L(Low Impedance) is stereo and is used for keyboards while the FV-50H(High Impedance) is for guitars...
Oh and i think you can use it as an expression pedal(depending on your gear) like when i use an Ibanez Volume pedal on my VL4,works like a charm, but you see the Volume Pedal that i'll use should have a 250K pot or higher for it to work, hope this helps...
The low-impedance model can be used as volume further down an effects chain but typically volume pedals are up front so the high-impedance model would fair best.

Personally I like to have the volume pedal further down the chain and not at the beginning hence the L is the one that I use. My reason for this is that I generally use the volume pedal for swells and quiet passages where I want the gain constant. Hence the pedal is after compression, overdrive and distortion but also after the chorus so that noise is kept low relative to the signal. The only thing after it is a DD-3 so that the echoes continue to repeat as the volume is brought back.
