Was looking at the schems for the RV-3 and noticed it has an Exp jack, and a small collection of parts leading to pin 12 of the ic.
When I opened the pedal, i took notice that there were holes for the exp jack's leads and all the parts populating the board. Whats the pedal control?
Feedback, Delay? Hard to tell even with looking at the specs for the IC
Looks like all one would have to do is install a stereo jack and solder in three wires.
Anyone know about this feature Boss omitted?

The schematic is a joint PS-3/RV-3 document. The PS-3 has exp possibility.

Read the top-left note in the schem:

http://www.schematics.ca/uploads/PDdownloads/boss_rv3_delay_reverb.pdf

...If you do try to connect an exp to your RV-3, please report the result.

Hi Erik dP
that's a great link, although I had to link back to:
http://www.schematics.ca

I was unable to see the uploads section.
I guess you have to join for free & be a member?

Regards Dr. Bob.

Hm, not sure what you mean. I just googeled on "RV-2 shematics" and got this page as a result. I didn't need to register to see it. Or do you mean that you have to be a member to post schematics to that page?

Also by the Exp. jack in the schem is says JK4 only PS-3
When I reopened it, to get some pics, noticed it has both pedals printed on the pcb and rv-3 was checked off. Wonder how close the two are.

Here's some pics. The upload was giving me problems, its missing the /forums/ part in the line of text.
The empty pin holes 4 & 6 are for the exp. jack

It would be easy to just solder in a jack, but when i looked at the specs for the M37470 chip, pins 9-12 look like they go to the same input inside the chip, couldn't find specs on ins&outs of it that made sense to me
The PS-3 exp jack varies between the two pitches, when in the Exp mode. Probably shunts something too. Now it makes sense.
If i tried that with the rv-3, it would vary the feedback and delay time. That would be....ummm...interesting. Any tips?

Tried to do the Hi cut mod on the rv3's f.back pot. No effect, rats
Easy to remove and move the dp3t switch to my dd3

Hi Erik dP
I managed to get the PDF, no problems.

What I was trying to say, is that I went looking for what other schematics & info they have on that site,
& I had to path back to the HomePage,
but the homepage doesn't seem to have any (working) links to see that is in the uploads or downloads pages.
It does have a 100 top downloads list though.

Thanks again for the great link, & thanks for the reply.
