I have just purchased from the States a Boss CS-2 Pedal MIJ. I was under the impression they were made between 1981-86? I have just checked the serial number on the inside 913667 & it states on this site it was made in June 1988? Can this be right?
Also the plate on the bottom with the label on, is the same as the one shown on this site for a pedal from 1988. So all indicators are saying it's a 1988 pedal?

Hi photogod17 and welcome to the forum.

The production dates given are from "the Boss book" and they are in many cases inaccurate.
Your CS-2 is one of the last ones made and June 1988 sounds right.

Hi, cheers for clearing that one up! I thought I had a ringer at first! It is in great condition & plays fine so i'm really happy with the purchase, just thought I would share it on this Forum if you were wondering Mesjoggah.

Coincidence or not but today i received a june 1988 CS-2 too, serial is 913313
